What does a Vocal Revolution mean for You?๐ถ๐น
The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are..
There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution,
on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first. -
Jim Morrison, Interview with Lizzie JamesAs I sit in the frying pan of London, watching images of fires and global warming flicker across my screen, it's clear that humanity needs a collective revolution. It's so overwhelming, but I believe that positive personal change - including claiming the joy, magic and power of our voices - can empower us to make a daily difference to our global community.
So if you were going to have a revolution in your vocal world that was completely personal and unique to you what would it look like - what would you be singing, saying, sharing, sounding?

Revolution is Process ๐ถ๐น
An ascending life, in which we keep striving to grow and improve—this is what is meant by human revolution. Human revolution doesn’t mean becoming something special or different from who we are; it simply means striving to improve, no matter what challenges we face. - Daisaku IkedaRevolution originally referred to the revolving of the celestial bodies in the skies. Contained within it, the word evolve comes from words meaning to roll, unfold and open out. So rather than a singular event on a linear time-line, revolution is a cyclical unfolding process.
Whether we are just taking our first brave steps or have travelled a good way along our path of vocal expression, there's always capacity to (r)evolve. Exploring our voice is a daily (r)evolving process, with its own rhythm, pulse and flow, rolling us out into adventure and returning us home again.

The Quiet Revolution ๐ถ๐น
The greatest and most powerful revolutions often start very quietly, hidden in the shadows. Remember that. - Richelle Mead, Vampire AcademyChange often starts with the promptings of the quiet inner voice - a hunch, nudge or whisper that comes on the wind or in a dream. Sometimes in a loud, noisy, fast-paced world, the most revolutionary thing we can do is get still and take a long, slow, deep breath. As the vehicle of inspiration and expression powering voice and life, the breath is our great, quiet ally.

Ripples of Revolution ๐ถ๐น
A great human revolution in just a single individual will help achieve a change in the destiny of a nation and, further, will enable a change in the destiny of all humankind. - Daisaku IkedaWhen I took self-defence classes, many moons ago, the first thing we learned was how to fall and roll. It was a humbling roly-poly lesson in finding grace within challenge.
Many people have experienced traumatic moments in early life where their voices were challenged, interrupted, censored or labelled. As adults, when we face, evolve and roll through these places, it brings on a personal revolution whose benefits ripple out - excited relatives tell me singers who'd been silent are now engaging with their lives and loved ones in new ways. Other clients have grown their creative missions to a level of global leadership.
Never underestimate the power of one person having a quiet, personal revolution in their vocal expression. So what, today, will be your brave, beautiful vocal revolution?
If I can support you to bring it on - through coaching or choirs -
